Rick Babick joined Lenox in 1982. His challenge was to find a way to test new designs in fine china dinnerware, fine crystal stemware, flatware, and china and crystal giftware. After more than a year of trial and error based on extensive consumer interviews and testing, he devised a mechanism that has proven itself hundreds of time since. Our design testing system has consistently identified winning, losing, and mediocre designs thus enabling our clients to increase sales, share, and profitability. Moreover, we have also saved clients untold dollars and countless consumer complaints and distribution problems resulting from poor introductions being discontinued.
